Fairground Projects
A new bathroom / bath house facility for the fairgrounds was completed. This is a wonderful addition to the fairgrounds and convenience for those using the campgrounds.
Our next big fairgrounds project is to get the campgrounds upgraded and cleaned up! The Fair Association is raising money to upgrade the electrical in the existing campground and put additional camping spots at the south area of the grounds to accommodate all of the camping needs.
The Fairgrounds has recently received a State Campground license and we're working to get upgrades done in order to handle a large number of campers. A dump and fill station were added last year with the completion of the new bath house facility. The campground is used not only during the Youth Fair, but throughout the summer months during other events. This is a big project with the projected cost for completion at $55,000.

About the Project
The first "big" project to take place was constructing covered grandstands and making improvements to the arena to allow the fairgrounds to host bigger and better outdoor events and offer guests shelter from the weather.
Completion
The new and improved grandstands is a positive addition to the facility and includes an elevated handicap viewing platform for wheelchairs! The cost of this structure was over $75,000 and it could not have been completed without the help and support of our generous Grandstand Sponsors....please view the sponsor list (PDF) and be sure to support their businesses!!
About the Project
Phase 1 of the horse arena project is complete with one completely renovated arena ready for the 2015 show season! The goal is to build three new horse show arenas. Equine athletes require good footing just like track and field athletes in order to achieve optimum performance and avoid painful injuries.
The essence of this project is to improve the footing of our arenas, allowing our horses and riders a safe, consistent ride. By improving the footing and size of our arenas, it will be a great compliment to our existing horse stables. Once completed, the arenas will increase our weekend facility rentals, allowing more opportunity for improvements.
