County Fair Market Vendor Application

  1. The County Fair Market is on Mondays (June 15, 2020 – September 7, 2020) from 12:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Vendors will receive a 10x10 space to set up their display. Products Allowed: Products allowed to be sold at this market include produce (fruits and vegetables), plants, flowers, food items, homemade crafts (jewelry, soap, clothing, etc.), photography, and fine art. Samples of food given to the public must be handled as required by Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) and Public Health – Muskegon County. Cost Adults (19 years old and older) $15 per day Youth (18 years old and younger) $10 per day Note: Youth must be supervised by a responsible person 16 years of age or older.

  3. FARMERS are defined as someone that has homegrown produce or plants and sometimes prepared foods and beverages. Farmers should produce at least 80% of what they offer for sale. An ARTISAN is defined as someone that has created a product such as homemade crafts (jewelry, soaps, clothing, etc.), photography or other fine arts. All products must be created by the person selling the product or a family member of that person.

  11. Vendor Compliance with Federal, State and Local Government and Market Inspections
  12. 1. Vendors will not misrepresent the quantity, quality, type or origin of food or products in any way.
  13. 2. Vendors must comply with licensing and identification, weights, measures and handling standards imposed by Federal, State and local governments.
  14. 3. The Market has the right to inspect any products offered for sale at any time. Misrepresentation of items sold may be cause for dismissal from the Market.
  15. 4. Vendors claiming to grow organic products must post their organic certification and provide a copy upon request.
  16. 5. Vendors requiring licensing of any kind must post a copy of the license at their stall.
  17. 6. Per MDARD Regulation No. 556 for “open air municipal and farmer’s markets”, the sale of animals/livestock will not be allowed.
  18. 7. Vendor stations must be under the supervision of a responsible person 16 years of age or older.
    I verify that the above information is complete and accurate. I understand that daily assignments are on a first come first serve basis and that the Market has a right to move placements of vendors for the good of the market as a whole. I agree to comply with the federal, state, and local government compliance requirements. I agree to have my representatives clean the area that we occupy before we leave. I understand that failure to comply with these requirements may be cause for dismissal from the County Fair Market.
